Here where I live, we finally got our permanent snow jus' in time for the turn of the year. I sure love the sleepy night atmosphere of 'em orange street lights on the white canvas... Not to mention the refreshin' feel of cold mush under my barefoot shoes~
Tho don't get me wrong; I absolutely love the snowless gloom 'n' darkness too. I'll take any of the two. So long it's either well below freezin' with good snow, or well above freezin' with zero snow, I'm good. Keeps the terrain nicely even for my joggin'.
Ya know what I ain't good with? A yo-yo weather goin' between 'em two. It makes the terrain reaaal annoyin' lemme tell ya.
Patchwork of firm concrete, mushy snow, slippery ice... Ya gotta be always adjustin', always cautious in case yer next step ends up on a sheet of ice hidin' under the snow. Or ice on top of concrete, all invisible 'n' sneaky-like.
Let's hope this winter stays below freezin' all the way thru. If it don't, well I'll jus' adapt. Or finally invest in stud adhesions for my shoes. Those exist too, haha...
What I'm lookin' forward to this year..? I'm 'bout to finish up an illustration project I've been chippin' away at for a while. Only three images to go! Been holdin' off publishin' any of 'em illustrations before all's done, so I can be sure to deliver the full experience. The finish line's right there in front of me, jus' need to keep chippin' – I'll inevitably slide over it at sum point.
Also, real interested to see how this new sorta experiment gonna go. We mockin' up a video game mechanic with one of my pals ya see. We both love to eat up 'em good mechanics, talk what makes 'em work, 'n' what problems're holdin' 'em back. We'll get to see how our big talk transfers into a gameplay loop, if it any fun or not. Whatever the result gonna be, we're guaranteed to have fun 'n' learn buncha new stuff.
The game's inspiration? Oh, I'm one note like dat. Jus' lookit the art I draw, know what games 'em redhead Kunio 'n' pompadour man Riki're from... Dat's it, ya know the inspiration now, haha!
Otherwise, I'll jus' keep on doin' what I do. Draw art. Think things. Plan stuff. Ride the wave, have fun, jump on opportunities if they happen to sail by. Dunno where I'll be at the end of 2026, but it'll work out sumhow!
